Coming together and connecting!
The Friendship Project, through the vision of the families, organizes and hosts a variety of social opportunities. These gathering provide the young adults,
families and networks the opportunity to come together in the spirit of friendship and connection.
The focus is to have lots of fun and invite others to join in on the celebration!
The project has hosted a variety of gatherings in the past, including an evening out at the theatre, BBQs, October Feast, pizza nights, a fundraiser car wash, tubing at Mount Washington, bonfires at the Spit (a local hotspot), The Art of Friendship Expo, swimming, burger and a movie, camping, community gardening, hosting workshops at festivals, 'girls' and 'guys' days, and so much more!
In addition, participants and families conceptualize learning series that are programmed every fall.
The Friendship Project comes together as a group at least once a month with the Facilitators, and often the young adults meet for swimming or a coffee in between.
